Algae Landscape Design Example: Living Algae Concept Building
This tower was designed for the 2010 Taiwan Tower Conceptual International Competition by creators Sir Peter Cook and Gavin Robotham, part of the CRAB team in London. The competition was for a 300 meter green building tower, at former Taichung Airport, as part of the Taiwan Gateway Park and portal into Central Taiwan. This design won second place.

The building is designed to be partially covered with algae and plants attached to the infrastructure of the concept building. The designers said that inspiration came from the concept of living energy. The tower would be opened to the public to appreciate the nature living on the surface of this tower, with vegetation visible from every angle of the building.
